Health care providers may suggest inducing labor early to protect the baby from cancer treatment.
You should not be taken Adriamycin, if you are breast-feeding or plan to breast-feed. This is because the drugs could be passed to your baby through breast milk. As doxorubicin may cause serious side effects in a breast-fed baby, talk to your doctor about whether you should continue breast-feeding.
Your doctor will do regular blood tests to check for side effects of Adriamycin. It is also important to check your levels of blood cells and other substances in the blood.
